# Financial Assistance to Acid Attack Victims

  • Financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh is provided to the female acid attack victims from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. In case of male victims, financial assistance upto Rs. 1 lakh is granted, depending upon scale of injuries and other criterion.

  • This policy came into effect from 08.10.2016, thus, victims, who suffered acid attack before the said period are not eligible for getting grant from PMNRF.
  • The application format (Click here to download) for getting the grant from PMNRF should be sent through District Administration concerned to the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, North Block, New Delhi along with copy of FIR, Medical Report, Bank Account detail of victim and Address Proof. In case of minor victims or for the victims, who have lost their lives due to acid attack, bank account detail of Parents/next of kin may be provided.
